Research Projects

Guidelines

Project Proposal

A 10-minute presentation.
Your proposal should answer the following questions:
  • What is the motivation of the project?
  • What is the state of the art?
  • What will you do?
  • What do you think you will learn at the end?
  • What will be your demo?
  • What will each of you do at each step? (Detailed schedule)

Final Presentation

Each group will have 10 minutes to talk about their projects. Optionally, you can dedicate a part or all of your time to a video showcasing your project.

Final Report

There is no page limit (minimum or maximum). Your report should generally include the following:
  • Introduction (motivation, the problem, your approach)
  • Related work (what others have done)
  • Design and implementation (what you have done)
  • Results (your findings)
  • What you learned
  • Future work (what you would do if you had more time)
We recommend using LaTeX for your final report. You can install LaTeX and run it locally following the instructions; or you can use online services such as Overleaf, where multiple users to work on the same document collaboratively. Overleaf inlcudes tutorials for both their service and LaTeX. It also provides various LaTeX templates. We recommand the ACL template for the final report.
